In case the gridlock caused by the Rockefeller tree lighting ceremony wasn’t proof enough, Wednesday’s FEED Project’s 12 Days, 12 Ways to FEED event proved that the Holiday season is in full swing and really highlighted the importance of thinking of others during this time of giving. Until December 9th, FEED is showcasing a special product or collection that will not only be a great gift for your best friend, but also provide meals for the less fortunate in the US and abroad. The organization has even teamed up with the non-profit DOCK2DOC, to donate bags of medical supplies to community health workers through the FEED HEALTH Collection.
Even though I’m not the world’s foremost expert on Do-It-Yourself projects, I couldn’t help but get my hands dirty customizing a tote bag with Lauren Bush and the FEED team. It says “HEART” (I couldn’t fit all the letters on one line, ok?). Don’t be afraid to add a bit of extra personality to your own FEED bags, or make them even more special for a friend or family member. The top bags on my wish list are the FEED 2 Kenya bag that provides meals to Kenyan schoolchildren, and the FEED 1000 Judith Leiber Clutch that provides 1000 school meals (got that Santa?).
