It’s here! Some pieces from Prabal Gurung’s super-limited edition CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award collection for J. Crew are now available for pre-order . This collection is so limited-edition in-fact, that only 50 pieces were made of certain styles, so act fast! My favorites are the Bow-dacious denim jacket, and the Rampant Rose top (not pictured) although any of the Exploding Bow blouses or dresses leave me lusting.
Prabal Gurung, one of my favorite new designers, showed his first collection in February 2009 at New York Fashion Week. The Singapore born, Katmandu raised Gurung attended Parsons New School of Design and had a stint at Cynthia Rowley before becoming design director at Bill Blass, and finally launching his own line. He was recently honored as a 2010 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund runner-up along with Eddie Borgo and winner Billy Reid.
I find Gurung’s designs very feminine, detailed, and beautiful. Although you wouldn’t normally see me in such exaggerated looks, I’m a sucker for a great bow and would love to own on of these pieces for J. Crew.
Here are some look from his most recent collections. What are your favorite PG for J. Crew looks?
