Cheap Thrills

Ever look at street style blogs and think to yourself “I could look like that if I had money!”  Never fear, in this season of style, you too can look like a Fashion Week insider, even if all you do is get dressed up to stand outside Lincoln Center and stare googly-eyed at your favorite celebs and editors.  Here are a couple cute looks inspired by my favorite fashion week outfits.

Zara Red Studio Straight Coat *on sale

A structured coat in a bright hue adds interest to a straightforward look.

Forever 21 Suedette Large Collar Jacket

A leather-like jacket adds a touch of tough chic.

Wrapped In Pleats Maxi Skirt in Black

A long, sheer skirt from Free People always adds a bit of drama.

TopShop Matt Wet Look Leggings

Leather Leggings are great for the girl on the go.

Richard Chai Mens F/W 2011 Run of Show

Felt Fedora: Staring at Stars, Silk Top: Joie, Wool Pants: J. Crew, Suede Heels: Tahari
Belt Chain (worn as necklace): Claire’s, Bracelet: High Ho Silver

Of course, a simple look of black and gray is always in vogue.  I sported this look to the Richard Chai menswear show on Saturday morning.  Since it is a menswear collection, I thought a touch of androgyny would be appropriate.  I broke out the fedora that I bought at Urban Outfitters in October and never wore.  The red lipstick gave the look a feminine touch.  What do you think?
